Vehicle Examination

GBB can carry out examinations to all types of vehicles including:

  • Bicycles
  • Motorcars
  • Mopeds and motorcycles
  • Light and heavy commercial vehicles
  • Plant and agricultural vehicles

A vehicle examination relating to Claims Validation can provide the following:

  • A full understanding of the extent of damage
  • The direction of the impact(s)
  • The orientation of the vehicles at impact
  • Whether the vehicles actually came into contact
  • The magnitude of the collision in terms of the impact speeds, and the vehicles’ changes in velocity as a result of the collision
  • Identification of unrelated damage
  • Roadworthiness and an assessment of the pre-impact condition
  • The heights of damage and features can be determined and compared between the vehicles to help determine whether one or both vehicles were braking at the point of impact
  • Details of any stored fault codes in the vehicle’s ECU
  • Confirmation of airbag deployment

Following the examination(s) there are two reporting options: a brief non-disclosable letter of advice detailing the examinations and findings or a CPR-compliant report.
