Trained in Collision Reconstruction Techniques, Russell Danton has attended over 600 live road traffic collisions on behalf of the Department of Transport and the Highways Agency.
He has been trained in the identification and investigation of accidents relating to driver fatigue, in understanding automotive body control systems and in the photography of road traffic collisions.
He has reviewed many hundreds of occupant injuries from medical reports in order to correlate the likely cause of these injuries to vehicle contact evidence and occupant movement during impact.
A published author of research papers and project reports, Russell has presented at international conferences and workshops as part of Pan-European research projects in the hope of creating a harmonized approach of collision investigation across the EU.
He is trained in the use of ‘PC-Crash’ 3D animation software for collision reconstruction and has also trained in the theoretical and practical application of the Abbreviated Injury Scale Coding system.
He has successfully completed expert witness training, conducted locus inspections, vehicle damage examination, occupant movement and accident causation – using this knowledge and expertise to give evidence in court.
