Low Speed Impact Methodology
Our methodology for low-speed collisions follows the step-by-step process shown in the flow chart. Each step of this process is supported by experience, research and scientific analysis.
The Quebec Task Force on Whiplash Associated Disorders (Spitzer et al. 1995) defines whiplash as ‘an acceleration-deceleration mechanism of energy transfer to the neck’. GBB agrees that whiplash is a mechanism that if triggered may or may not lead to injury. The application of research data enables our experts to comment on the trigger of the whiplash mechanism with increased confidence.
